Michael Allen is a commercial photographer based in Boulder, Colorado.
Why photography? Because photography is infinite. It’s about documenting and sharing the endlessly amazing, beautiful and powerful forces that shape who we are and how we see the world.
For me, the camera is a sketchbook, fusing the vision of the photographer with the landscape or the subject. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to this. Either through intuition—or those sometimes inexplicable impulses that tell us to raise the camera and take the shot—a photo is a powerful tool for sharing the beauty of this wonderful life and wonderful Earth so that it may be here forever. Whether it’s mountain landscapes, fleeting sunsets, seaside villages, or those undeniable connections with interesting faces, my hope is to capture a few of those special places and moments.
